The CD consists of 25 performances - Bulgarian instrumental folk music for dances performed by Zornitsa Orchestra (gaida, kaval, gadoulka, tamboura and tapan). The unique melodies of Pirin (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) are performed by the marvelous Selim's group for zurna playing, settled in the village of Kavrakirovo, close to Petrich.
The dances included in the videotape, as well as in the CD, are part of the educational program of the annual practical folklore seminar Balkanfolk 1998.
